How to beat low engagement on Instagram – 5 Top Tips

Content, Social

Are you ready to beat low engagement and turn your Insta game from “oh no” to “oh yeah”? Buckle up, because I’ve five strategies to sprinkle that extra magic on your profile and help you figure how to beat low engagement on Instagram.

Consistency is Key

Keep the Insta vibes alive with a consistent flow! Whether you’re posting daily, keeping that aesthetic on point, or just being your awesome self. The key is to be the consistent magical soul your audience loves and wants to see in their feeds. The secret is, the more you show up, the more Instagram high-fives you with that algorithm love.

I’ve personally seen results of how to beat low engagement on my own Instagram where it increased by 109% – read how I did it here

So, set your posting schedule (whatever feels most aligned and what you can comfortably stick to) and watch the magic unfold!

Knowing your Insta fam

Understanding your audience and what problem your ideal client is facing. So you can dive deep into helping them with the solution you provide.

If you’ve not carried out a little research on what your ideal client is facing, then you can draft up a little Insta poll and find out how you can help them. Using their own words in your content will resonate deeper with those who want to purchase from you.

Hashtags

Let’s spill the tea on hashtags – they’re actually your secret weapon for being discovered. Don’t just stick to the basics; throw in a mix of niche based on your local area, for example #weddingphotography could get lost in 100,000s of images shared every day, whereas if you’re in London #londonweddingphotography could give you a better reach.

Engage & Connect

Instagram is not just a platform; it’s a community, and engagement is your best friend.  Respond to comments with depth and not just an emoji, spread love on your followers’ content, and build a community that feels like a cosy virtual hangout. (I’ll bring the hot chocolate!)

Be you on your socials, ask questions, and create a space where your audience feels safe and happy to connect with you.

Have a Strategy

The definition of strategy is; ‘A plan of action designed to achieve a long-term or overall aim.’

If I asked what your aim/goal/desire is right now, would you know? And secondly, would you know how you’re going to achieve it?

Posting without a plan or strategy in the hope to get more clients/sales/increase engagement is just plain silly. Developing a strategy with clear goals, a target audience in mind, and a content plan that you can work on is absolute gold.

Chatting about what is strategy and why you need it over here.

So get cracking on my fave strategies to boost your engagement right now; be consistent, vibe with your ideal client and existing audience, ride the hashtag wave, connect authentically and introduce a strategic plan.
